REDWOOD EMPIRE BASEBALL LEAGUE

LOOKING TO PLAY HARDBALL?
The Redwood Empire Baseball League's 2008 season is now underway, but its not too late to join a team and play baseball this summer. Players that are interested in joining our league must fill out our registration form (Click HERE) in order to be placed on our Player Waiting List. At the end of each month, players on the waiting list will participate in a tryout for interested managers looking to add to their roster.
The REBL 25+, 35+, and 45+ age divisions play single games on Sundays beginning April 13th and running through the end of September. Games are played in Sonoma County and Napa, with teams playing an 18-22 game schedule.
2008 2ND ANNUAL WINE COUNTRY CLASSIC MEMORIAL DAY TOURNEY
The Redwood Empire Baseball League (REBL) is hosting the 2nd Annual Wine Country Classic, an MSBL tournament held over the Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26th, 2008. The Wine Country Classic offers play in three divisions (25+, 45+ Wood Bat, 55+ Wood Bat), with all teams guaranteed 3 pool games on Saturday and Sunday (May 24/25th), and playoff and championship games on Sunday and Monday (May 25/26th) for those teams that qualify. Games will be played in the heart of the Sonoma County wine country on quality fields that are centrally located.
Fees for the tournament will be $975 per team due by Monday, May 12th, 2008. Space is limited, so to secure your team's spot in the tournament, teams are advised to send in a non-refundable deposit of $300 by Monday, May 5th. Players participating in the Wine Country Classic must be current MSBL members, or pay an additional $26 for their league membership. Unless otherwise noted, MSBL National Tournament Rules will apply.

REBL DAY AT THE OAKLAND ATHLETICS COLISEUM - WEDNESDAY, JULY 2ND
Don't miss the REBL Day at the Coliseum on Wednesday, July 2nd. REBL players, fans, and family will have the entire stadium to enjoy for three games starting at 9:00am, with a lot of perks at a great price. 2007 Aluminum Bat Restrictions
The REBL will limit all eligible aluminum bats for the 2007 season to those with a BESR certification. If your bat does not have a BESR certification, it is not allowed for use. The BESR certification is stamped right on the barrel of the bat for easy recognition. Click HERE for more information. Additionally, all wood bats are also allowed for league play.
